Executive VIP

For Paradiso Mission 203, Kip and Tom needed a Civvie, so Tom painted up the Executive VIP from the Flee or Die Dire Foes set.

Keisotsu Butai by Tom

Tom painted up some Keisotsu Butai to run demo games with.

Only four of the models will be used for the demos, but he figured he might as well paint all five at the same time.

The one-piece sculpts of these older models is really nice to use for Demo game models!

The Black-Grey pants were based black, and then highlighted with:

  • Vallejo Model Colour 862 Black Grey
  • VMC 992 Neutral Grey
  • VMC 990 Light Grey

The Orange-Red armor was based with VMC 814 Burnt Cadmium Red. The darker Vallejo reds cover over black primer in a single coat, which makes them great starting points for building up red or orange colors. Then the color was built up with:

  • P3 Skorne Red
  • P3 Khador Red Base
  • GW Blazing Orange
  • VMC 911 Light Orange
  • P3 Heartfire (barely there)
  • VMC 949 Light Yellow (very little – glints!)

Infinity Terrain – Kip’s Underground Lasers Stuff

Kip’s collection of Underground Lasers terrain.

These aren’t Underground Lasers, but rather “Terrain Forge” whose site still shows “coming soon.”

Infinity Terrain – Kip’s Warsenal Stuff

More terrain from Kip – this time cool Access Terminals, Beacons, and Stasis Coffins from Warsenal.

Infinity Terrain – Kip’s Micro Art Studios stuff

Here are the Micro Art buildings and accessories Kip has painted up for our local tables.

Great looking stuff, and enough objectives to cover whole tournaments!

Tournament Tray

Kip and Tom have talked about the awesome tournament trays by Broken Egg Games that they use to carry their minis around at events. Here, we show off why they are so useful.

The trays are made of hardwood, stained and sealed for maximum durability. The dice tray is lined with felt, and is a perfect place to roll dice during a game to keep the terrain and models safe from crashing D20s. It also conveniently holds your dice, tokens, tape measure and laser pointer as you move from table to table.

The holes are a mixture of 25mm and 40mm, arranged in exceeding clever ways to accommodate the different shapes that occur with Infinity models’ base extensions.

The Marut sits comfortably in a 40mm slot that overlaps 2 25mm slots providing room for its feet extensions.

The 25mm slots in between the 40mm slots have enough “wall” to prevent models from sliding around, yet are open enough to accommodate most base extensions.

Remotes with 4 base extensions fit perfectly in any of the X-pattern shapes – and those shapes also handle non-extended 40mm or 25mm as needed.

The number of slots is more than adequate to handle most two-list tournament model counts. It allows you to only unpack those minis one time, and not have to waste so much time between rounds unloading and cleaning up. It is also designed to fit inside the main pocket of an Infinity Alpha Bag.

I am sure that future designs will include 55mm slots once those new base sizes and models start to become available.
