On this episode, Tom and Kip discuss the Infinity Escalation League that they are running down at the local shop. It’s a cool, fun way to get a community started, or to rejuvenate a stale scene, and with N3 being brand new, it’s a perfect time for it. There is a bit of news hidden in there concerning Army 5 as well…
On this episode, Tom and Kip talk about upcoming tournaments and events, and then discuss our feelings about the organization and logistics of N3. We have a new Libation for everyone to try, and then finish with several listener emails.
In this episode Tom and Kip wrap up their initial impressions of N3 as they go over Retreat, End of Game winning conditions, Command Tokens, Hacking, Terrain, and our final thoughts. The show wraps up with even more listener emails.
On this episode, Tom and Kip talk about the playtest for the Infinity: The Game the Roleplaying Game before devoting the bulk of the episode to talking about the Special Skills in Third Edition Infinity, and wrapping up with some listener emails.
In this Episode of MayaCast, Tom and Kip rate the December releases, let you know what to expect in January, and start talking about the brand new Infinity: The Game Third Edition! This time they cover the basic overview of the product, as well as the basic core rules and Common Skills available to everyone – What has changed, and what they have noticed from the games of N3 that they have played. Just like everyone getting used to the new rules, and trying to break old habits, they will probably make mistakes along the way, but come join them on their path of discovery!
Kip and Tom have talked about the awesome tournament trays by Broken Egg Games that they use to carry their minis around at events. Here, we show off why they are so useful.
The trays are made of hardwood, stained and sealed for maximum durability. The dice tray is lined with felt, and is a perfect place to roll dice during a game to keep the terrain and models safe from crashing D20s. It also conveniently holds your dice, tokens, tape measure and laser pointer as you move from table to table.
The holes are a mixture of 25mm and 40mm, arranged in exceeding clever ways to accommodate the different shapes that occur with Infinity models’ base extensions.
The Marut sits comfortably in a 40mm slot that overlaps 2 25mm slots providing room for its feet extensions.
The 25mm slots in between the 40mm slots have enough “wall” to prevent models from sliding around, yet are open enough to accommodate most base extensions.
Remotes with 4 base extensions fit perfectly in any of the X-pattern shapes – and those shapes also handle non-extended 40mm or 25mm as needed.
The number of slots is more than adequate to handle most two-list tournament model counts. It allows you to only unpack those minis one time, and not have to waste so much time between rounds unloading and cleaning up. It is also designed to fit inside the main pocket of an Infinity Alpha Bag.
I am sure that future designs will include 55mm slots once those new base sizes and models start to become available.

Shut up and take my money already! – You would buy this model just to own it, even if it would never hit the table. If you played the faction, multiples would be in order even if you cannot play multiples. A crown jewel of the Infinity line of figures.
That’s what I’m talking about! – Gorgeous model that is doing something new. A must own for a faction you play. Cannot wait to get your hands on it.
Standards, you’ve got to have standards. – They hit their usual stride with this sculpt. Imaginative, neat, and asking for paint.
It’s good enough to play – The model is nice and average.
Only if I have to, and even then…. – You don’t care for the sculpt and would only get it if you played the faction and couldn’t do without it.
